Entry: T5 snippets Saturday, March 26, 2005

Please take note that whatever i wrote here, doesnt reflect the actual time i posted here in this blog. the main reason here being i have no internet connection at the place i wrote the entries. So bila ada masa yg sesuai aje will i post these entries.

Here's a little bit on pda stuff - namely the latest from Palm - the T5. For those yg. in the blur skit, T5 is the successor of the Palm T3. No T4? Well, lets just say the no.4 can be very takde-ong to some culture if you get my drift here :) So wat's new with this T5. Well for one, there's no more slider from on this Tungsten. No wifi, just the BT; no camera if i'm not mistaken either; the screen still big as the T3 and it cost around rm1300. So is it worth the bucks?

Let me give you 3 points and you can decide by yourself wheather it's worth the buy or upgrade. 1) now's there some kinda flex-mem in it, which means if your T5 dah habis battery, your data will still be there. Not bad huh? Just like the ppc la kiranye. 2) T5 can now read native files of Words and Excel as well as PPoint. Edit can be done directly to the first two types of files. Impressive? 3) You can just hook your T5 to any pc/notebook with usb port and it'll recognize your pda as an external drive. Even cooler right especially if you are like me where you need to upload text or images on the net on regular basis. So if you think you can live without these 3 points and currently satisfied with your current pda, well good for you. If you're a newbie who want to get a brand new spanking pda, T5 is a good choice. Me - if i got the moolah to burn, definitely i'd trade my Clie with this baby, but for now i'm a ok with my baby ;) My only consolation is i'll miss my hacks so very much if i change to T5. Oh yeah, T5 is still using OS5 and not the highly anticipated OS6 and yes it can play mp3s and videos as well.
